Name and Philosophy


The name Waffle Agency didn't come about by accident. The founders wanted to emphasise a creative but structured approach to work. A waffle is not only a tasty treat, but also a symbol of something warm, memorable and clearly structured. Each ‘cell’ of the waffle, like each part of the marketing strategy, is important and complements the whole. This has become the agency's philosophy - to do work that consists of clearly thought-out steps, but remains creative and unique.

First order

Waffle Agency's first order was a real challenge and at the same time the point at which their success story began. It was a project for a small local café that had just opened and was looking to attract the attention of the townspeople. The founders of the cafe wanted to create a unique image of the place that would set them apart from their competitors, but had no clear plan on how to do it.

First steps
When the owners of the cafe turned to Waffle Agency, the agency was just starting its activities. The founders had a lot of creative ideas, but they needed to prove that they were capable of not only coming up with original concepts, but also bringing them to life. The cafe was their first client and it was a chance to prove themselves.

The Waffle Agency team started with an in-depth analysis of the audience and the competitive landscape. They realised that the cafe was located in an area with many similar establishments, and they needed to find that unique element that would make people talk about the cafe and want to come there.

Creative solution
The team proposed a concept based on the idea of ‘A Place for Creativity’. They suggested that the cafe should not just become a place to drink coffee, but a point of attraction for creative people: writers, artists, musicians. Waffle Agency developed original branding, where the main emphasis was on cosiness and inspiration, and also proposed to hold a series of events - from poetry readings to musical evenings.

A key element of their strategy was the creation of an interactive social media advertising campaign. They launched a competition amongst locals for the best creative photo with a cup of coffee from the cafe, offering the winners free visits to events. This move not only attracted new customers, but also created a viral effect as the photos were actively shared on social media.

Result
